Gladys "Gay" G. Headley, 76, of Akron, passed away August 22, 2013. She was born in New Martinsville, WV on January 19, 1937 to the late William and Gladys Jennings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Headley, Jr.
Gladys is survived by her son, Matthew; daughters, Loree McKiernan and Lisa (Rick) Eddleman; grandchildren, Amanda (Bill) Eaken, David McKiernan; great-grandson, Benjamin Lucas Eaken.
Family and friends may call on Monday, August 26, from 5-7 p.m. and Tuesday, August 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 27 at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Phillip F. Engle officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Salvation Army, 190 S. Maple St., Akron, 44302.
