Glen W. Loucks, 56, of Springfield Township, passed away September 26, 2008 at Akron General Medical Center. He was born November 23, 1951 in Barberton, Ohio. Glen retired from Giant Eagle where he was employed for 30 years as Frozen Food Manager. He had an infectious smile and always had a joke for everyone. True to his giving nature, Glen will be helping numerous others through organ and tissue donation. Glen loved his cats, Oliver, Sabrina and Winston. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis H. Loucks. Glen is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debra K. Loucks; mother, Betty J. Loucks; daughter and son-in-law, Traci & Richard Loychik; grandchildren, Ryan and Nicholas; sister, Lynn (Bill) Wyatt; brother, Garry (Betty) Loucks; sister-in-law, Gail Noland; mother-in-law, Dorothy White; father-in-law, Bill Clawson; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron on Monday, September 29 from 4 - 7 p.m. The family extends a special thanks to his mother-in-law as well as the medical team at Akron General Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Ohio, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd., #260, Independence OH 44131-2340.
