Glenn A. Monroe, 48, of Akron, passed away February 14, 2005 at Summit Villa Care Center. He was born December 23, 1956 in Akron, Ohio. Glenn loved sports and was involved in softball and coached softball for over 25 years. His is survived by his parents, James & Irene Monroe of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughters, Patricia Dulaney of Lorain OH, Angel Woodley and Christy Monroe both of Akron; grandchildren, Trisha, Tony, Pete, Cierra, Matthew, Jordan, Adriana, Andrea and Andre; brothers, Donald (Sue) of Barberton, Ronald (Karen) of Cleveland, David (Darla) and Gordon (Delores) both of Tennessee; special life-long friends, Debbie & Brooke Tice. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice Nurse, Becky Staley and to the Summit Villa Care Center Staff for their care.
