Glenn V. Goodyear
Glenn V. Goodyear, 73, of Akron, left this world and was reunited with his wife on March 29, 2008. Glenn was born in Akron on August 27, 1934. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from Goodyear after 29 years of service. He was a devoted father and grandfather and will always be remembered as a hero to his family. His children thank him for making them the people they are today. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Shirley. He is survived by his children, Annamarie Wright, John (Tracy) Goodyear, Glenn "Boomie" (Barbara) Goodyear, Vicki (Jim) Cabell, and Bernadette (Tom) Noel; sister, Evelyn (Harry) Doolittle; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and his close companion of eight years, Jean. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
