Glenn H. Givler
Glenn H. Givler, 87, of Tallmadge, passed away April 17, 2008. Glenn was born in Akron on November 3, 1920. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II, retired from BF Goodrich as a supervisor of customer service, and belonged to the Masons. In his free time, Glenn enjoyed traveling and has visited all fifty states. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; sons-in-law, Patrick Murphy and Gerald Bunts; and brother, Richard. He is survived by his daughters, Kathie Bunts and Paula Murphy; sister, Annabel Brubaker; sister-in-law, Orline Givler; grandchildren, Michael (Janet) Bunts of Ohio, Larry (Emily) Bunts of Ohio, Ann (Brian) Kooyman of Kansas, and Patricia Murphy (Tyrone Nixon) of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Lily, Connor, Aidan, Patrick, and Lexie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brian Nutt officiating. Interment at Grandview Memorial Park.
