Glenn R. "Boom" Goodyear
Boom Goodyear, 53, of Akron, passed away suddenly on July 19, 2013. He was born in Akron on February 15, 1960 to the late Glenn V. and Shirley R. Goodyear.
Boom was employed with Enterprise Rubber for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and camping and he loved Lynyrd Skynyrd.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 33 years, Barbara; children, Misty (Steve) Albertson, Brian Goodyear, and Shaun (Ruthie) Goodyear; siblings, Ann Wright, John (Tracy) Goodyear, Vicki (Jim) Cabel; and Bernadette (Tom) Noel; grandchildren, Trysten, Autumn, Miranda, Jacob, and Taylor; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends may call on Thursday July 25 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 12 noon. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
