Glenn Louis Stanley

GLENN LOUIS STANLEY of Tallmadge, OH, passed away on April 5, 2017 after a short illness. He was born May 9, 1927 to the late Walter and Eathel Stanley. Glenn was a very gentle, loving man who loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his sons, and had a passion for antique guns. He had retired from General Tire. Glenn was an Army veteran stationed in Japan right after WWII.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Alice Stanley; son, Kerry Jon Stanley; sister, Shirley Jones; and granddaughter, Kara Stanley. He is survived by his children, Connie (Mike) Thompson, Jim (Beth) Stanley, Glenn "Larry" Stanley and Bob (Vanessa) Stanley; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive guests on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 11am-12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, followed by funeral service at 12pm. Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society.
