Glennis Blevins

Glennis "Glennie" Blevins, 72, passed away at home surrounded by family on February 26, 2017. She was born January 28, 1945 in Stenson, WV to parents, David and Corene Hicks. Glennie loved her family more than anything, and also enjoyed playing cards on Saturday nights with her family, had a great sense of humor, was sharp as a tack, and loved her cat, Patches.

Glennis was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law, and 2 brothers-in-law. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Curtis; son, Curtis (Cindy); daughter, Tamela; granddaughters, Samantha (Mike), Tabitha; great-granddaughter, Emma Gene; sisters, Dorothy Duncan, Ann (John) Davis; sister-in-law, Wilma Jarvis; her pet, Patches; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
