Gloria A. Davis (nee Honeywill), 84, passed away September 18, 2011 after a long illness and courageous struggle. Her entire life was spent taking care of others, asking nothing in return, nor ever complaining. She was born and grew up in Akron, Ohio, attending East High School, moved to Mogadore, and then to Winter Haven, Florida. She returned to Green, Ohio to be with her family about 8 years ago. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Edna Honeywill; brother, Jack Honeywill; and son, Robert Lee Davis, Jr. She leaves her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert Lee Davis, Sr.; two loving daughters, Linda (Gene) Whited and Cindy Latham; four grandchildren, Wendy (Jacob) Shocklee, Michael (Erica) Muth, Jefferson (Denise) Whited, and Misty (Jerry) Young; eight great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Jenny Davis. The family would sincerely like to thank the caring nursing staff of St. Luke's – Portage Lakes, and Crossroads Hospice for their special care in her final days and the compassion shown to the family. Cremation has take place. A private family memorial will be held, there will be no calling hours.
