Gloria L. Votaw (nee Lozier)

Gloria L. Votaw (nee Lozier), 51, passed away on September 24, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. Gloria was a lifelong resident of Springfield Twp. and was a graduate of Springfield High School. She had worked at Lindsay's Amber Restaurant and Hartville Kitchen. Gloria enjoyed Cleveland Indians baseball and her dogs Bo, Puggy, and Jay. Preceded in death by her father Robert E. Lozier. Survivors include her loving husband Edward of 28 years; son Brandon; mother Kathleen Lozier; brother David (Kimberly) Lozier; and many special nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers. The family would like to extend special thanks to the critical care staff at Akron City Hospital. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Thursday, 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, Rev. Ron Bauman officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
