Gordon Joseph Loughney

Gordon Joseph Loughney, age 84 of North Canton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2023.
He was born on March 18, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph Thomas Loughney and Lillian (nee Sherry) Fink.
Gordon liked to work on his car and being outdoors, working on the lawn. Gordon was a big Cleveland sports fan. His greatest joy was his family and being a great provider.
Gordon was saved and knew his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and would encourage anyone to also know the Lord. He was an usher at the Cathedral of Tomorrow in Cuyahoga Falls.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, the former Carol Madeline Lemin, whom he married on January 3, 1961; his four sons, Richard Wayne (Heather), Donald Gene, Paul Gordon and Kenneth Allen "Ken" (Dixie) Loughney; his grandchildren, Derek Loughney, Joshua "Josh" Loughney, Kaitlyn (Nigel) Doerfler, Sarah Loughney, Hayley Loughney, David (Brielle) Loughney, Gabriel "Gabe" Loughney, Daniel Loughney and Mystie Loughney; and his four great-grandchildren, Savannah, Samuel, Tarryn and Andrew.
His siblings also survive, Clifford, Jim, Glenn, Tim and Roger Fink, Paulette Scarborough and Justine Magalucci.
Other than his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his daughters-in-law, Nancy Loughney and Susette Loughney.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305 on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.
The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday at 5:00 PM.
Gordon will be privately buried on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to MissionView Church, 1320 West Maple Street, North Canton, Ohio 44720 in Gordon's memory.
