Grace C. Yates, 80, of Akron, passed away February 8, 2013. She was born in Akron, OH on September 7, 1932 to the late William and Marie Kiley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; children, Rod, Marie, Jeffrey and Lisa Yates; 8 sisters and a brother.
Grace is survived by her children, Vicki (Scott) Looney, Don (Annie) Yates, Douglas Yates and Melody St. Jean; 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Talbot; many loving nieces and nephews and was lovingly called "Grammy Grace" by many.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, February 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with a memorial service to follow at 10 a.m.
Private burial at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Copley.
