Grace M. Coleman

Grace M. Coleman, 89, passed away at home March 15, 2024 surrounded by her family. Born in Maxwelton, WV to Charles and Gladys (Rose) Starks, she resided in Ravenna, OH all of her adult life. Grace belonged to the New Milford Baptist Church and she also participated with the Sixty Plus group. For several years she volunteered for the Portage County Board of Elections. Grace enjoyed gardening, garage sales, picnics, watching daytime TV and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Curtis John Coleman; son, Gary; grandson, James Curtis; siblings, Henry, Faye, Claire, Ruth. She will be sadly missed by her children, Randy (Eileen) Coleman, Debora (Gene) Williams, Dona (James) Tippett, Mary (Ernie) Swanigan, Karen (Ron) Gayelit; daughter-in-law, Gale Coleman; grandchildren, Christine, Carrie, Jason, Jill, Jeff, Heather, Brandon, Shannon, Greg, Kristen, Casey, Ben, Jack; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Taylor, Eileen Ash; many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to thank Taylor and the staff of Affinity Hospice for their loving care of Grace.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of Grace's life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Grace's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
