Grace D. "Dot" Wilkinson
Grace D. "Dot" Wilkinson, 95, was called home by the Lord, March 13, 2009. She was born August 23, 1913 in Isabella, Tennessee to the late William & Melissa (Sims) Dills. Dot was a long-time member of the East Market Street Church of God. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and was considered "Grandma Dot" to the countless children that grew up in Comstock Court. She also volunteered for Good Neighbors and will be greatly missed by the close friends that she made while working there for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wilkinson; sons, John Lee and Richard E. Wilkinson; and grandson, Mark E. Wilkinson. She is survived by her son, Gerald D. Wilkinson; daughter, Bess Wilkinson; grandchildren, Kevin, Eric, Jerri Lynn and Diane; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Nick, Daniel and Emily. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Shaub officiating.
