Grace Alice Kennedy

Grace Alice Kennedy, 63, of Akron, passed away on October 28, 2023. She was born in Steubenville, OH on November 23, 1959 to the late Helen {Popolowski} Morris.
In addition to her mother, Grace was preceded in death by her best friend and pseudo-sister Diane Waugh.
On August 22, 1998 she married John Kennedy. He survives, along with daughter, Amanda Yauch; son Russell Jones; step-sons Tate (Heather) Kennedy and Shay (Emilie) Kennedy; 6 grandchildren; sisters Maryann "Bunnie" (Maynard) Ghrist, Anna Luckino and Helen Smith.
Grace was a life member of the VFW Post 8975 Women's Auxiliary, where her husband is a life member. She was always able to see the positive in everybody she met. Grace loved sewing, quilting, embroidery, and absolutely loved to be at the beach. Her love of the beach often drifted its way into her home decor, as well!
Grace was a very proud and devoted Grandma. The love she had for those dearest to her touched the deepest parts of their hearts, and she'll hold a special place there, forever.
A celebration of Grace's life will be held on Thursday, November 23rd at VFW Post 8975, 1649 Krumroy Rd. Akron, OH 44306 from 11:30 a.m. throughout the day. In lieu of flowers, donations in Grace's memory are suggest to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
