Grace E. Morrison, age 87 of Akron, passed away on November 12, 2021.
Grace was born on September 18, 1934 in Stow, Ohio to William and Gertrude (Werner) Starner. She graduated from Stow High School. Grace was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Akron. She enjoyed walking in the park and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Harold Slater, her second husband, John Morrison, 12 siblings, and daughters, Mary Ochsenbein, and Kathy Gower.
Grace will be dearly missed by her sons, Leslie Slater, Bill (Nancy) Slater, and Phil Slater, grandchildren, Jason (Kimberly) Ochsenbein, Nick (Lindsay) Ochsenbein, Daniel (Nicole) Gower, and Randi Gower, great grandchildren, Kandall Ochsenbein, Grace Ochsenbein, Braden Ochsenbein, Illaina Ochsenbein, Mackenzie Gower, and Lindsey Gower.
Friends and family may come to call on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Garden.
