Graciela "Gracie" Martiny
Graciela "Gracie" Martiny, 46, of Akron, passed away suddenly December 5, 2013. Gracie was born in Mexico on April 12, 1967. Gracie had a smile that could melt an iceberg. She will always be remembered for her generous spirit and willingness to help everyone. She volunteered her time at numerous organizations. She was a happy-go-lucky person who never asked for much.
Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Perez Montemayor and Juanita Rios; and sister, Ophelia DeAlba. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 28 years, John Martiny; daughter, Amy Martiny of Chicago; siblings, Libby of CA, Janie of Mexico, Elvira of TX, Arturo of TX, Blanca of TX, Belia of Mexico, Humberto of TX, Martha of MN, Javier of MN, and Emma of Seville; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday December 14 from 1-3 p.m. at the Polish American Club, 472 Glenwood Ave., Akron 44310.
