Greg went home to be with the Lord on Nov 5th at 3:15 p.m., peacefully after a long illness with Lupus/Renal Kidney Failure. Greg was a 1982 graduate of Green High School and the JVS Career Center. He worked as a mechanic until 1987 when he became an owner/operator of his own truck, and father to their son, Christopher. He later was diagnosed with Lupus/Renal Kidney Failure at 32 years old. Greg attended The Chapel of Green and was very strong with his faith. His favorite verse was John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life! Greg was preceded in death by his Dad and Mom, Ralph and Iris Jones; grandma and grandpa Jones and grandma and grandpa Lance. Greg is survived by his loving wife, Susan; son, Christopher G. Jones; brother, Tim R. Jones; sister, Sheri Ellis; niece, Jonnae Peck; nephew, Guy (Melissa) Peck; second Mom and Dad, Jim and Emma Lou Duncan; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Special thanks to Greg's surgeon, Dr. Adrian G. Dan, MD and all the staff of Akron City Hospital ICU Critical Care Unit. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
