Gregory Larson

Gregory "Greg" S. Larson, 45, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, lost his 12 year battle with cancer on his mother's birthday, Friday, August 12, 2011. He was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Betty Jane (Luke) and Lawrence E. Larson. He leaves behind his stepmother, Jewel; wife, Dawn; 3 children, Joseph, Nicholas, and Kaylee; 5 brothers, Anthony (Denise), Joseph (Sandi), Lance (Cindy), Rick (Melissa) and Christopher; sister, Lori (Chris) Zak; and numerous nieces and nephews. Greg had been employed at Mac-Tac for 15 years. He loved baseball, fishing, and being a mentor for every child. Special thanks to Mac-Tac, Mark and Carol Sumner, the American Cancer Society, and all the people who kept him strong. A memorial service will be held Friday, 4 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Family and friends may gather one hour prior at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
