Gregory "Moose" Meloy

Gregory "Moose" Meloy, 69, of Suffield, OH, passed away on February 4, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Moose was a local truck driver for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, playing cards, gambling, and watching professional and college sports teams.
Moose is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joan (nee Basile); daughters, Cynthia (Jody) Waldner of Hartville, Julie (Jeff) Marchion of Brimfield; sister-in-law, Linda Meier of Akron; grandchildren, Valerie, Jeff, Greg, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Kiera, Grace, Caiden; special nieces, Michelle, Mikayla, and many other cherished and beloved family and friends.
Moose was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Jean; siblings, Gordon, Gary, Gloria, Gilbert; mother-in-law, Doris Basile; and uncle, Wayne Meier.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
