Gregory S. Mihaly, Jr.

Gregory S. Mihaly Jr. (Greg) of Kent Ohio, who lived most of his life in Lakemore, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home on October 2, 2022.

Preceded in death by father, Gregory S. Mihaly Sr. and mother Ruby B. (Wolfe) Mihaly, he is survived by daughter Crystal B. Olsen (Kyle), son Stephen G. Mihaly (Jessica), grandchildren Seth, Aiden, Landin and Brendin, siblings Thomas Mihaly (Lynda), Florence Ambrose (Rick), Mary Flowers (Bill), nieces, nephews and will be remembered as Old Uncle Greg to his great nieces and nephews.

Greg was a man of many talents. At a young age he began tinkering and dismantling items to put them back together. He quickly learned from his father how to work on cars which he enjoyed and learned the base for his amazing carpentry skills. He had a creative can do mindset, if it was to be done he would find a way. He loved riding his motorcycle with friends and was tickled to have his sister riding along with his new brother Bill. Greg had his own struggles in life and lived his life to the best of his ability. He was proud of and loved his children, his family and his friends. He was a giving and caring man who was there for anyone who needed his help. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

His family is holding a celebration of life gathering on Saturday, October 15th, 2022 at VFW Post 8975, 1649 Krumroy Rd., Akron, Ohio from 2 to 5 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Newcomer Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
