Gregory P. "Trooper" Narusch, 64, passed away February 8, 2011. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Gregory retired from Bridgestone/Firestone after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marilyn Narusch. Gregory is survived by his siblings, Paula (Gabelman) Freed (Arthur) and Timothy (Neva) Narusch; nieces, Kristy (Ned) Archer, and Katelyn Archer; nephews, Kraig Gabelman, Paul Gabelman, Timothy Archer, Joshua Narusch, and Zachary Narusch; special aunt, Eva Stahl; close friend, Dave Gabelman; very special neighbor, Val; and a special thanks to cuz Donna. Calling hours will be held Saturday, February 12, from 12 noon to 2 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where a service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Joyce Williams officiating. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. After the burial, family and friends are invited to VFW Post #1070, 641 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron for a fellowship luncheon.
