Gregory W. Jaynes, 52, passed away on February 11, 2008. He was an active member of Wintergreen Ledges Church of God where he served as a greeter and an usher. Gregory was involved with the Akron Marriage Encounter Community and was employed at Akron General Medical Center. He enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and spending time with his precious grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife Becky, of 23 years; son Bryan Reed; daughter Sarah (Walter) Walberg; grandchildren Tabitha and Ian; parents Wade and Marian Jaynes; brother Keith Jaynes; sister Shelly Hansen; father and mother-in-law Charles and Betty Potter; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Calling hours will be Friday, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, and Saturday 10-11 a.m. at Wintergreen Ledges Church of God,1889 Vernon Odom Blvd. Akron where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., Pastor Jim Roma officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Ho Mita Koda, 3601 S. Green Rd. Suite 100, Cleveland, OH 44122 or to Wintergreen Ledges Church of God.
