Guy A. Darkow
Guy A. Darkow, 53, passed away on December 21, 2008. He was born in Akron on November 6, 1955, and had been a life resident. Guy was a 1974 graduate of Central-Hower High School. He served an apprenticeship with the Union Sheet Metal Workers Local #33 and worked until retirement at the Chrysler Corp. in the skilled trades department doing sheet metal work. He had attended Greentown Church of the Nazarene. Guy had many wonderful memories of hunting and fishing in his youth with his father, grandfather, and uncle. Preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Isabelle. Survivors include his beloved wife Debra, of 15 years; loving stepchildren Denise Sano, Jennifer Rhodes, and James Duff; daughter Kathryn; sisters Kimberly (Gary) Fulton and Pamela Darkow; cherished grandchildren Summer, Alyssa, Deanna, and Christian; and many loving nieces and nephews. Per Guy's request, there will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held TODAY at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
