Guy B. Ellison

Guy B. Ellison, 77, passed away on October 26, 2012. Guy was born on October 13, 1935 in Glenville, WV. He was honorably discharged from the US Army and retired from the Carter Jones Lumber Company and Akron Public Schools. Guy loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, Dixie; and 12 siblings. Survivors include son, Tim (Eva); daughters, Kelly Hunter, Shelly (Carl) Conner, Theresa Ellison; son-in-law, Mike Hunter, who was like a son to Guy; grandchildren, Kristin (Chris), Ryan, Marisa, Timothy, Samuel, and Cole; special niece, Debbie Carmichael; and his beloved dog, Kala. Calling hours will be Sunday, 12-3 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VNS Hospice.
