Halcie V. Cramer (Watkins, nee Peggs), 93, of N. Canton, was called home on January 7, 2021 to be with our Lord. She was born in Chloe, WV to parents Clarence and Lena Peggs on September 10, 1927.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Pletcher and Judith Hunt; nine grandchildren, William (Bill) Watkins; Alan Watkins; Danielle Drawkulich; Barbara (David) Templeton; Angela Hunt; Michael (Jill) Hendricks; Timothy Hendricks; Mark (Kimberly) Hendricks; and Christina Hendricks; twenty great-grandchildren, Bella, Dre, Kendra, Darshan, Janyla, Alyssa, Brennan, Cayden, Kelly, Kristen, Kaitlen, Kylee, Vanessa, Veronica, Joshua, Jacob, Jayden, Ashley, Alexis, and Arison; sixteen great-great grandchildren, Marcel, Marliyah, Makenzie, Makara, Michael, Anthony, Grace, Camden, Aidan, Grayson, Hailee, Riley, Amiya, Micayla, Jenson, and Emree; and two daughters-in-law, Ginger (Roger) and Pamela (James).
She is preceded in death by Jennings Watkins, Bill Cramer, Ronnie Watkins, Betty Watkins, Roger Watkins and James Watkins.
Halcie married Jennings in Clay County, West Virginia on June 29, 1945. They were married for twenty-seven years. In 1952, Halcie, Jennings, Susan and Ronnie moved to Akron, Ohio. It was here where their family grew with four more children, Roger, Betty, James and Judy.
Halcie, her family and friends were very blessed with God's gift of ninety-three years. She brought invaluable love, laughter, and lessons to all of us. She will always be our rock!
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron at 1:00 pm with one hour of visitation prior. She will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park.
