Hannah Jo Rayl
January 21, 1937 — January 27, 2022
Hannah Jo Rayl of Hartville, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 27. Born in Bloomingdale, Ohio the daughter of Price and Ella Poe Rayl, January 21,1937.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Isabelle, Leona, Glenna, Elva, Valerie; brothers Marvin and Curtiss. She is survived by brother Paul, and sisters Ruth and Joyce.
She graduated Wayne High School and was employed at the Steubenville Herald Star, where her love of journalism began. She graduated Marion College, Marion, Indiana, where she also was employed at the local paper.
Returning to Ohio, she continued in journalism, retiring as Executive Secretary of The Newspaper Guild-CWA, in Cleveland, Ohio.
She was a member of Community Christian Chapel in Akron, Ohio.
A Memorial Service will be at a later date, and burial will be in Bloomingdale, at the convenience of the family.
