Harley J. Roberts, went home to be with Jesus, while his wife, Joyce, patiently waited for him to join her. He passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the age of 85.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, on December 21, 1932, the son of the late Aldine and Helen (nee Postiach) Roberts.
Dad served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from General Tire. He was a "Jack of All Trades" and could fix or build anything that needed done.
Other than his parents, Harley was preceded in death by his wife, the former Joyce Darkow, whom he married on January 31, 1956, she preceded him in death on February 17, 2006; his in-laws, Albert and Irene (nee Shanklin) Darkow; and his cousins Barb Hilton and Jack Postiach.
Survivors include his daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Moore, and his son, Dale Roberts; his devoted sister, Jane Cleaver of Wilmington, NC; his cousins, Mary Ann Shipley and Mike Postiach. His pride and joy were his granddaughter, Sarah Frick, great-grandchildren, Aubrey Lochner and Aldin (Kayla) Frick and great-great-grandson, Nate, all of Williston, ND, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Per Harley's request, private services will be held. Dad you didn't leave home, you went home!
