Harold Duane Gelhausen

Harold Duane Gelhausen "Bud", 87, of Akron, passed away on January 15, 2022. Bud was born on September 13, 1934 in Moatsville, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Edith Gelhausen. He loved the outdoors and could often be found hunting, camping and fishing in his free time. Bud was a member of several clubs, including the United Fellowship Club, the Breakfast Club, and GBYA.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; second wife, Helen; daughter, Blenda Johnson; son, Harold Gelhausen Jr.; stepfather, Frederick Gelhausen; brother, Charles "Butch" (Helen) Gelhausen; and sister, Marian "Trudy" (David) Poling.
He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Donna (John) Kelly and Patricia Drake; sister, Georgia (Frank) Upton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
