Harold Dean Moore Sr., of Akron, Ohio passed away on August 25, 2022, he was 92 years of age.

He was born on September 9, 1929 in St. Petersburg, PA, the son of the late John and Eva (nee Jackson) Moore, and came to Akron as a young boy.

Harold was drafted into the US Army and served in the Korean War, where he served with honor and pride for his country.

On June 28, 1952 he married the love of his life, the former Ramona M. Reagan, they just celebrated their 70th year of marriage.

Harold worked for General Tire Chemical in Mogadore before retiring in 1991 with 40 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to fish the Allegheny River where he had a cabin in Foxburg.

Harold's joy was his family. His four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he adored them.

In his spare time you could find him tending his garden, working in the yard, eating anything sweet and watching military shows.

Harold was a kind, quiet, gentle and humble man.

In addition to his loving and devoted wife, Harold is survived by his children, Gail (John) Dodson and Dean (Susan) Moore; his four grandchildren, Angela Texter, Lisa (Dan) Bishop, Eric (Mary) Moore and Jennifer (Brandon) Hendricks; his seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob, Nathan, Ava, Alex, Elliana and Madelynn.

Also surviving are his siblings, Carole Boden and Jeff (Sally) Moore; and many nieces, nephews, and his best friend and companion, his dog, Baxter.

Per Harold's wishes he will be cremated and there will not be any calling hours or services.

All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
