Harold M. Scarberry

Harold M. Scarberry, 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 9, 2018. A lifelong resident of the Akron area, he was born December 29, 1938. Harold was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and archery. He was President of Wingfoot Bowhunters Club. Harold was the rock of the family, providing wisdom and a strong sense of values for his wife, children, grandchildren and many friends.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ona; children, Michelle (Bryon) Moon, Wayne (Bronwen) Scarberry; grandchildren, Curtis (Ashton), Logan, Nicholas; brother, Dave (Barb) Robinson; his hunting crew; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will take place at 2pm on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Millheim Baptist Church, 2661 Hayne Rd., Akron. Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating.
