"One Hell of a Man!"
Harold James "Bo" Stewart, 89, passed away on March 1, 2018, at home after a battle with cancer. He was a veteran in the US Army and the US Navy. Bo retired from General Tire as the general manager of the Brittain Warehouse in Akron. Bo was well known as one of the top bowlers in Akron and seemingly everywhere in Tri-County as well. In 1995, Bo was inducted into the Tri-County Bowling Hall of Fame. Bo was an avid golfer with not one but two holes in one to his name.
Bo was preceded in death by his father Cecil Stewart, mother Lottie (Reid) Stewart, brothers Glenn K. Stewart and Robert Gillenwater, sisters in-law, Doris Stewart, Bunny Kisha, Jackie Magill and Mary Stewart; brother in-law, Bill Slabaugh; his daughter in law Nancy Jo Stewart, and his granddaughter Jamie Marie Brown. Bo is survived by his loving wife Geraldine (Jeri) Stewart, children Terry (Chase), Kathy, David (Jill), Mark (Tammy), and Shane (Susie), and brothers Cecil (Kathryn) and Donald. He also leaves 14 grandchildren, Jason (Kim), Erica (Tom), Karalyn, Marcus, Kayla, Laura, Jesse, Tristan (Jonathan), Laurie, Bo Scott, Jerijo, Josh (Amanda), David (Samanthia) and Mike; and 14 great grandchildren, Trent, Faith, Tommy, Jeri, Journey, Austin, Makailee, David Lee, Sammijo, Austin, Tabitha, Michael, Brennen and Brylee.
Family will receive friends on Monday March 5, 2018 from 10-12pm with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Bill White Jr. officiating. Interment Hillside Memorial Park.
