Harold E. Virden Sr.

Harold E. Virden Sr., "Hedge Sr.", age 79 of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on January 19, 2022 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born on January 7, 1943 in Akron, the son of the late Harold Ohio and Olive "Oily" Mildred (nee Herzog) Virden.
Hedge loved to golf, bowl, fish and his Friday night "hang-out" with his brother-in-law, Chuck. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, the former Karen Wooley, whom he married on June 15, 1963; his children, Shelley Williams, Harold E. Virden Jr "Hedge Jr." and Jason (Alesha) Virden; his grandchildren, Jessica (Steven) Spencer, Olivia Highsmith, Jordie Tyo, Taya Thomas and Louie Virden; his great-grandchildren, Kennedi, Emma, Kason, Leia and Ryder.
Also surviving are his siblings, Karen (Chuck) Ball, Becky (Bill) Roller and Michelle (Jeff) Spencer.
Other than his parents, Hedge was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Virden.
There will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
