Harry A. Wyatt
Harry A. Wyatt, 86, passed away on February 9, 2009. Harry served with the US Army during WWII, and received a purple heart. He retired from East Akron Post office after 30 years of service and was an avid golfer. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Beulah Wyatt; brothers Bill and Bucky Wyatt; the mother of his daughters, Mary Ruth; and his dog and best friend Dobie. Survivors include his daughters Cheryl (Glen) Wilcox, Cindy (Frank) Waller, and Susan Taylor; grandchildren Amy (Alcides) Miranda, Ashley Waller-Huff, Callie (Pete) Cook, and Stephanie (Tom) Hinkle; great-grandchildren Alyssa, Jagger Wyatt, Hailey Lynn, Trevor, Tommy Aloysius, and Lucas David; and his dog Faulker. The family would like to extend special thanks to the D-wing at Essex Nursing Home for the loving care of Harry. Family and friends may call on Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with military honors provided by the Mogadore VFW at 6:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
