Harry L Jenkins

Harry L " Buddy" Jenkins, 98, passed away August 28, 2022 at Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls. Born in Akron, Ohio to William and Lillie (Pierce) Jenkins, he was a lifelong Akron area resident and graduated from both East High School and the University of Akron. Harry proudly served in the Army Air Corps as well as the Air Force Reserves. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 29 years. Harry enjoyed dancing and co-founded the Track II Singles Square & Round Dancing Club. He also liked animals, traveling, volunteering for the Salvation Army and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; brother, Percy; nephew, Bob and many friends. He will be sadly missed by his children, Art (Linda), Ron (Diane), Charlene Brown, Dave (Sarah); grandchildren, Chris, Chad, Eva; nieces and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, September 9, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Harry's name to the Salvation Army or Pet Guards Clinic in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
