Hattie F. (Whitesel) Palmer
Hattie F. Palmer, 90, of Springfield Township, passed away April 15, 2009 at Akron City Hospital two days shy of her 91st birthday. She was born April 17, 1918 in Gilmore County, West Virginia. Hattie retired from Goodyear Tire after 34 years of service and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Thurman E. "Gene" (Barbara) Whitesel of Barberton; daughter, Peggy (Gene) Bourn of Uniontown; grandchildren, Rick (Alicia) Whitesel, Mark (Cindra) Whitesel, Ame (Chuck) Henley, Alison Carey, Julie (Mike) Kick and Richard (Diane) Stevens; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday at Harmony Baptist Church, 1127 Southeast Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Bernard Christy officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the service begins.
