Helen Lou Baker

Helen Lou Baker, 94, of Barberton, passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2023. A resident of Norton, she was born on May 19, 1929 to the late Garney E. and Gertrude {Bye} Blevins.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leslie "Les" Baker in 2002, their son Bob Baker in 2020 and her brother Garney Blevins.

Helen is survived by her loving children, daughters Marilyn (Ken) Herold and Judy (John) Jusi, son Les (Darlene) Baker and daughter-in-law Cheryl Baker; grandchildren Danny (Robin), Donny (Lisa), Laura (Mo), Lisa, Brittany (Bryan), Katie (Lucas), Kevin (Hali), Zach (Erica); 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Jerry, Don, Gary and Jim Blevins.

Helen attended Barberton Church of God, and previously the Tallmadge and McKinley Avenue locations.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., when the funeral service will begin with Pastor Matt Williams officiating, all at Barberton Church of God, 885 N. Summit St. Barberton, OH 44203. Interment to follow services at Greenlawn Memorial Park, where Helen will be laid to rest with husband Les and son Bob.
