Helen Elizabeth Carter

Helen Elizabeth Carter, 85, went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2005. She was born in Akron, OH and retired from Sears. She also worked at Penny's and was a beautician. She made baby layettes for the Good Neighbors that were given to newborns in area hospitals. She was a member of the Ellet Eastern Star and belonged to the Goodyear Heights Baptist Church. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Floyd; sister, Jeanne Bramlett. She is survived by daughter, Evangelist Judy Carter Schaefer (Paul); son, David Howard Carter (Nancy); sister, Shirlee Ann Williams (John Robert); grandchildren, David Lee Carter, Daniel Carter (Laura), Barbie Knoll (Doug); great-grandchildren, Alicia and Andrew Carter; nephews, Michael (Linda), Donald, Robert & Christopher Williams, Martin Bramlett (Mary), Larry Bramlett (Betty), James Dean Bramlett (Kelly); nieces, Bonnie Jeanne Ammon (Robert), Patricia Shanholtz; 13 great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews; special friend, Ruth Barazacchini (Fred) and family, Jason (Jennifer), baby Jason, Matt (Brandy), Mattie and Brandon; foster son, The Virgil Kitchen Family. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. John Phillips officiating.
