Helen Marie Virginia Cottrill, 80, passed away on September 17, 2006. Preceded in death by her husband Darius Noal Cottrill; parents Jahue and Meda Davis; son Harley Knight; stepson Henry Cottrill; and brother Junior Kyer. Survivors include her children Joyce Lee, Dewey Knight, Linda Swinehart, Ronnie Cottrill, Brenda Mallow, Darlene Salster, Ralph Cottrill, Shirley McCallister, and Ruth Frye; stepchildren Gladys Grubbs, Stanley Cottrill, and Robert Cottrill; sisters Josephine Travis and Rosetta Sloan; special granddaughter Diane Nestor; 28 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and special friend Chris Whitmer. Calling hours will be Friday, September 22, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service immediately following at 1 p.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
