Helen Kerlik
Helen Kerlik, 73, of Akron, died on March 1, 2005 at Essex Health Care of Tallmadge. She was born March 30, 1931 in Cairnbrook, Pennsylvania to the late Metro & Anna (Andrako) Berezonsky. Helen was a member of St. Mary Orthodox Church, Goodyear Retirees Club and Good Sam Camping Club Chapter 36. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Metro Berezonsky and sisters, Mary Morganti, Catherine Cote and Nancy Brown. She is survived by her husband, Mike Kerlik of Akron; sons, Michael (Karen) of Atlanta, Georgia and Matt (Judy) of Akron; grandchildren, Melissa, Brittany and Aaron; sisters, Eva Wolonsky of Tallmadge and Betty Newcomb of Orlando, Florida; brothers, Nick (Jenny) Berezonsky of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Mike (Stephanie) Berezonsky of Akron, George Berezonsky of Tallmadge and John Berezonsky of California; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. with a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Divine Liturgy at St. Mary Orthodox Church, 91 S. Arlington beginning at 9:30 a.m. with Fr. Myron G. Zuder presiding. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
