Helen Kerzie
Helen Kerzie, 88, of Mogadore, entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2011 surrounded by her loving family after 5 years of failing health. Helen was born in Canton, Ohio on September 6, 1922, the oldest of six children. She was raised in Mogadore and graduated from Mogadore High School. Grammy loved family vacations, bingo, ceramics, quilting, and cooking. Her Sunday spaghetti dinners were a favorite we always enjoyed and looked forward to. Grammy and PaPa will always be remembered as "Fun loving Grandparents". Their senior years revolved around their grandchildren's activities and making everyone's holiday special. Helen retired after years of service at Ferriot Brothers. She is survived by son, William "Bill" (Rhonda) Kerzie, Jr.; daughter, Connie Jo (Gary) Maag; grandchildren, Wade (Stephanie) Kerzie, Brett Kerzie, Gary W. (Patty) Maag, Kelli (Denny) Taylor, and Chad (Tonya) Maag; great-grandchildren, Tori, Garrison, and Kara Kerzie, Jacqui, Bo, and Andrea Maag, Holli, twins Natalie and Ashlee, and Conner Taylor, and David Bolanz; sister, Donna (Al) Kisamore; brother, Ray Adorni; sisters-in-law, Beatrice (Kerzie) Hannig, Betty and Lena Adorni. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William (Bill) Kerzie in 1995; parents, Carl "Charlie" and Clara Adorni; brothers, Carl "Jr" and Bob Adorni; sister, Alice Salvador; sisters-in-law, Carmella and Doreen Adorni; brother-in-law, Willis Salvador; many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the staffs of Greenview Inn and Maison Aine for their excellent care. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m., with Pastor John Wilson officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contrbutions may be made to the Mogadore Fire Department.
