Helen Louise Marks

Helen Louise Marks, age 92 of Akron, Ohio, died on July 1, 2023 at Pebble Creek Nursing Center.
She was born on October 24, 1930 in Circleville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle (nee Hall) Marks.
Helen loved playing board games and card games, especially bridge. She also liked to crochet.
In her younger years, Helen worked for Stanley Home Products and Sun Rubber. However, her greatest joy was being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
Survivors include her children, Donald (Susan) Carroll, Danny (Sandee) Carroll and Brenda (George) Chalfant; her grandchildren, April (Robert) Love and Eric (Chelsea) Chalfant; and her great-grandchildren, Nelia, Kaleb and Gabriella.
Her brother also survives, Bert (Eva) Marks.
Other than her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Carroll; her grandson, Grayson Carroll; one brother, Ralph Marks; and her former husband, Gerald Carroll.
Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305 on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM, where Pastor Joel Cochran will celebrate Helen's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
