Helen {Rosenberg} Neely passed away early Thursday morning, September 29 at approximately 7:00 A.M. For the past five weeks, Helen was hospitalized with a weakened heart and an inoperable form of cancer.
Helen was born in 1942 to Veronica and Max Rosenberg. She is survived by her family: brother, Dick Rosenberg (Cathy), and her nephew, Dan.
The family wants to thank Helen's numerous friends from Ellet High School, Muskingum College, Springfield Public Schools, her book club, her bridge club and the Green Y. They were an important part of her life. In addition, the family wants to extend a special thanks to Mary Smith and Amie Travis for their support and assistance during the past 5 weeks.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 5 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where Memorial Services will be held at 12:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to either the Humane Society or Doctors Without Borders.
The family invites you to sign the online guest book and share fond memories.
