Helen Pamboukis, 81, passed away on September 23, 2013.
Helen was born in Herkimer, NY, but lived most of her childhood in Akron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Irene Andrico; three of her sisters, Christina, Despo, and Calliope; and by her husband, Nick Pamboukis.
They were married in 1957 and had a daughter, Madeline, and two sons, Agathonicos and John. They moved to Tallmadge and enjoyed a wonderful life. Helen will forever be remembered as a Giving, Loving, and Generous Soul. She was also known for her cooking and having large gatherings of family and friends to celebrate every occasion. She also cherished the time spent with her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Theofane and Demetra; and brothers, Theodore, Trifon, and George.
Calling hours will be Friday, 5-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a Trisagios service at 6:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m., at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 Union St., Akron, OH, with Rev. Fr. Jerry Hall officiating. Interment to follow at Tallmadge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
