Helena M. Bowen, 81, of Akron, passed away November 6, 2007. Helena was born November 7, 1925 in Patton, Penn. to the late Leo and Blanche Weakland. She retired from Morse Control. Helena was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Herbert. She is survived by her sons, David (Lois), Thomas (Barbara), Ken (Garnett), and Paul (Debbie) Seese; stepdaughter, Cynthia McKee; sisters, Hilda (Roy) Strahler and Leona Weakland; brother, Leo (Pat) Weakland; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Private services for the family have been held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Suffield Fire Department.
