Henri Safi
November 28, 1932 — June 19, 2019
Henri Safi, age 86 of Uniontown, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2019 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on November 28, 1932 in Beruit, Lebanon, the son of the late Hannah and Marie (nee Cheirah) Safi.
Henri immigrated to this country in 1957 and fulfilled his dream of becoming an American citizen. Henri was extremely proud that he was an electrician, a trade he learned in the United States. Henri not only loved to play cards but to win at playing cards. He loved to cook, Henri made the best tabouleh.
He will be missed by his sweetheart of ten plus years, Cheryl "Cheri" Whitacre; his two daughters, Marie Schneider and Mabel Pitera-both of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Raymond Safi, Eli Safi, William Safi, Henrietta Ashkar, Toni Safi, Joe Safi, along with several nieces and nephews and their families.
Other than his parents, Henri was preceded in death by two nephews, Eli Safi and Jude Safi.
Henri requested there be no services. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
