Herbert G. Bowen, born July 29, 1929, passed away April 23, 2006. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Arless (Crane) Bowen; sister, Lois Pine; and brother, Roy Bowen. He leaves his wife of 37 years, Helena (Weakland) (Seese) Bowen; daughter, Cynthia McKee; stepsons, David (Lois) Seese, Tom (Barb) Seese, Ken (Garnett) Seese, and Paul (Debby) Seese; brother-in-law, Leo (Pat) Weakland; sister-in-law, Hilda (Roy) Strahler; much beloved nephews, Bruce and Gary Pine; grandchildren, David, Kimberly, Michael, Stacie, Kristi, Josh, Kenny, Amanda, Lindsey, Stephen, and Holly; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Trinity, and Devon. Herbert also leaves his best and longtime friends with whom he always had fun, Don and Betty Backus. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 322 N.
