Herbert H. Riffle, 81, died October 25, 2005 in Cuyahoga Falls. He was born on April 29, 1924 in West Virginia, and resided in Akron for most of his life. Herb retired from Goodyear after 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by parents, Dana and Nellie Riffle; brothers David and Gerald Riffle; and son-in-law Ron Hibbs. Herb is survived by his wife of 56 years, Clara (Gearhart) Riffle; daughter Linda Hibbs (Larry) Marsh; grandchildren Joy and Ron Houchen, Janet and Jim Harrison, and Jon Hibbs; great-grandchildren Erin, Eric, Jonathan, Tyler, and Delanie; sister Joy (Don) Keener; brother Grey (Stella) Riffle; sisters-in-law Virginia and Wilma Riffle; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. Calling hours will be Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Saturday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Steve Wellman officiating.
