Herbert William Boring (Bob) was born January 15, 1921. He was precededed in death by his wife of 58 years, Jeanne M. Boring and his sister, Dolly Walton. He retired from Mohawk Tire Co. in 1975. Mr. Boring is survived by his son, James (Jane) Boring; daughter, Linda Gould; grandchildren, Christopher (Cathy) Boring, Michelle Boring, Matthew (Kristi) Gould, Joseph and Nathan Gould; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Andrew Boring; special brothers and sisters-in-law, Beatrice Bailey, Iris Randolph, Alice Dill, Max & Shirley Boring, Keith Walton, Paul Boring, Asa & Wanda Boring; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. In his early years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his later years, he turned to gardening. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m., Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron with Rev. Glenn Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins.
