Herman L. Stone

Herman L. Stone, 60, passed away on May 16, 2006. Herman had worked at the Ford Motor Co.- Walton Hills for 37 years. He attended East Market St. Church of God. He had a passion for cooking and landscaping and was an avid NASCAR fan. Herman was a devoted husband and father and was eagerly awaiting the birth of his granddaughter Alexis Lynne Stone. Preceded in death by his father Carl W. Stone, Sr.; sister Nelva Stroupe; and father-in-law Russell Mason. Survivors include his loving wife Patsy, of 40 years; his son and best friend Donald (Marsha), of Copley; his mother Vergie Stone, of Virginia; brothers Carl Jr. (Pat), of Virginia, Rufus (Leota), of Streetsboro, Archie (Phyllis), of Akron, Kenneth (Zana), of Virginia, and Nolan (Karen) of Virginia; sisters Anna (Willie) Robinson, Fredia (Boyd) Isom, and Becky (Dennis) Melton; brother-in-law Charles Stroupe, all of Virginia; special extended daughter Kristin (Dave) Millard; special extended grandchildren Gavin and Chloe; loving mother-in-law Avalene Mason; and special brother-in-law Greg Mason. Calling hours will be Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service Saturday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home, Pastor O.L. Henderson officiating.
